I just published two new blog posts and thought I might as well share them here, too.
First, here’s a post for my publisher, Charlesbridge Publishing, about my attendance at the Fay B. Kaigler Children’s Book Festival at USM where I accepted the Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor for my first picture book, A Crow of His Own.
And, here’s one called, The Tiresome Question I’m Often Asked about My Brown Kids on Embrace Race, where I am a new Staff Blogger
- UPDATE 5/2/2016: The Huffington Post picked up this piece, and I am hopeful the exposure will help boost Embrace Race.
- UPDATE 5/4/2016: The New York Observer picked up this piece, too!
Please read, share, comment, like, or even blog about these if you’re so inclined.
Hi Megan,
I saw this post on Sean’s FB page and shared in my school community in Northampton.
Thank you for sharing your experience. So many diverse families can benefit from having an open and honest conversation about topics like this. If only the rest of the world took a moment to see things from more than one perspective.
Best to you, Patti
Thanks so much Patti! The response has been pretty phenomenal, both in terms of support and great dialog. I’m thrilled about the exposure for Embrace Race. Do take a look at their other posts and resources, and spread the word.
