Storytime and Book-signing at Phoenix Books in Essex, VT 1/21

Although I’m sorry I won’t be in DC for the Women’s March, I am so looking forward to my storytime and book-signing on Saturday 1/21 at 6pm at Phoenix Books in Essex, VT. I hope to see lots of people there for a program that will highlight themes of community, family,
and inclusivity.

Thanks to my publisher, Tilbury House for donating a copy of #realsisterspretend for a giveaway that Phoenix Books Essex & Burlington is promoting on their Facebook page. If you already own a copy of this picture book, illustrated by the wonderful Nicole Tadgell, consider entering to win a copy that you could donate to a school or library.

I will use the Whole Book Approach during my reading, and the store will also be selling my book Reading Picture Books with Children: How to Shake Up Storytime and Get Kids Talking
about What They See
, as well as my picture book with David Hyde Costello, A Crow of His Own. I think I might bring along David’s book I Can Help to read, too, because its message of community and reaching out for help and offering help to others is one I always want to share.
